Braces-Friendly Recipe: Baked Ravioli Pasta

Back in November, we shared our first braces-friendly recipe – the berry smoothie. Smoothies are a great option for a delicious meal in a glass – especially after getting your braces on and/or adjusted. This month, we turn to more of a complete meal recipe that is a great fit for family dinners. Introducing our baked ravioli pasta recipe!

Note the following ingredients:

  • 24 ounces of pasta sauce (your favourite type)
  • 14.5 oz of diced tomatoes (do not drain)
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1 – 1(1/2) pound of frozen raviolis
  • 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • a cup of shredded parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 400; lightly grease a 9×13 casserole dish
  • In the dish, carefully mix water, diced tomatoes, and paste sauce together; make sure it completely covers the bottom of the dish
  • Place one layer of pasta on top, followed by one cup of mozzarella on top of that; then add one more layer of pasta followed by the remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese
  • Bake for 45 minutes
  • Serve with parsley as garnish
